We will discuss the expected results, the number of sessions required, and any potential risks or side effects.

    Preparation: On the day of the treatment, you may be asked to shave the area to be treated. This helps ensure that the laser energy is focused on the hair follicle beneath the skin rather than on the surface hair. Avoid waxing or plucking before the session, as these methods remove the hair from the follicle, making it less effective.

    Protective measures: We will provide you with protective eyewear to shield your eyes from the laser light. We will also apply a cooling gel to the treatment area to help protect the outer layers of your skin and enhance the effectiveness of the laser.

    Laser treatment: During the session, we will use the V-20 handheld laser device to target the specific areas for hair removal.

  • The V20 hand devise cools the skin as it glides along your target area. When the pulse of light is delivered, some patients experience a mild sensation often described as soft rubber band snap or stinging sensation. Typically, local anesthesia or pain medication is not required, however, patients may request a topical anesthetic when sensitive areas are treated.

  • The duration of a laser hair removal session depends on the size of the area being treated. Smaller areas, such as the upper lip, may take only a few minutes, while larger areas, like the legs or back, may take longer.

  • After the session, it’s normal to experience some redness and swelling in the treated area. This usually subsides within a few hours to a day. We may recommend applying a soothing cream or gel and avoiding sun exposure for a certain period.

  • Laser hair removal typically requires multiple sessions to target hair follicles in different growth stages. The sessions are usually spaced several weeks apart to allow time for the hair to fall out and new hair to enter the growth phase. Sessions will will vary from person to person.
